America's Next Model

America's Next Top Model is a reality show which stars model Tyra Banks. The show first aired in 2003 on UPN, and it was highly popular, being rated as one of the best shows on the network. In addition to being a host on the show, Tyra Banks is also a co-producer along with Anthony Dominici and Ken Mok. As the name suggests, America's Next Top Model is a show in which contestants compete to become models. They will be challenged with a number of competitions which are related to fashion, and the winner receives a $100,000 modeling contract with CoverGirl, and the model may also be featured in Elle Magazine.

Season One of America's Next Model

This reality show is distinct in that each season may be referred to as a "cycle" rather than a season. Season one aired in May of 2003, and ten girls were flown to New York City were they would live in a loft apartment during the season. For the first part of the competition, they would share this apartment. The rooms were named after large cities, and they were the Tokyo Room, the Milan Room, and the Miami room. Each room would be shared by two girls. This season would also feature guests like J. Alexander and Wyclef Jean. The winner of season one was Adrianne Curry, and she was declared America's Next Top Model. Adrianne Curry and Shannon Steward came in behind her.

Season Two of America's Next Model

The second cycle of the show took place in 2004. While the first season only had 10 contestants, the second had twelve. While the format remained largely the same when compared to the first season, there were many variations in how the episodes were showcased. Compared to season one, the photo shoots were more sexually provocative. In fact, the very first shoot required the girls to pose nude with body paint. Because Anna Bradfield refused this task, she was the first person to be sent home.

In the finale, the final four participated in an erotic shoot that took place in Milan. The winner of this season was Yoanna, and she was praised for her looks and runway walk. Yoanna had been a fan of fashion since she was a child.

The 14 women to be selected as finalists were flown to Jamaica, and Jay Manuel was their photographer. The women then returned to the continental United States for the rest of the season.

During season three, the women were given radical makeovers, which included some of them having to have their hair cut. Eva Pigford, who was 19 when the showed aired, was declared the winner.
