Aaron Carter is eliminated from Dancing With The Stars
Results night on Dancing With The Stars. With only five couples left the producers are going to be scraping for things to fill time. But one of them is going to be Dance Center with Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice so all is not bad.
The encore performance chosen by the judges is the futuristic Paso Doble of Joanna and Derek. Len said that while Mya and Dmitry had a perfect score in their Samba, the judges were amazed that they were able to produce a dance with so much content and a glimpse of how it could look in the future. Again the judges referred to the dance as genius, and I agree. I’m so happy I got to see it again tonight (not that I couldn’t replay it on my DVR) and that the judges recognized it for what it was – amazing.
A recap of the judges’ leader board follows. Then the first elimination announcement comes with some foot dragging, but in the end we find out that Joanna and Derek are safe.
After commercial we see another recap of last night’s show, but this one is more detailed, pointing out mostly the flaws but giving some positives too. There’s a performance by Michael Buble of his new single “Haven’t Met You Yet” accompanied by pros Maks, Jonathan, Anna and Cheryl. As always they are amazing. It’s followed by another elimination announcement – Mya and Dmitry are safe.
The first installment of Dance Center follows the commercial break. Joining Kenny Mayne are Jerry Rice, Len Goodman, and for the first time Stacey Keibler. Totally hysterical. It’s followed by the Macy’s Stars of Dance Design a Dance. Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas performed an awesome Paso Doble to “Eye of the Tiger.” She is a really good dancer and it’s too bad she got eliminated so early in season 5.
Michael Buble performed again, his song “Feeling Good.” I know he’s supposed to be really great and all, but he just doesn’t do it for me. The dancers accompanying him were really good though. It’s followed by an elimination announcement. We find out that Donny and Kym are safe. This means that Kelly and Louis and Aaron and Karina are in jeopardy.
Susan Boyle (of Britain’s Got Talent fame) performed “I Dreamed a Dream” and I think she has such an amazing voice. I know she didn’t win it all – who could have beat that voice? Tony and Chelsie performed along with her, and they were really great too. Dance Center part 2 follows this. Those guys are really funny.
After all the bits and musical performances, we find out that it is Aaron Carter who is sent home. I guess you can’t be too shocked, since he was in the bottom two a few times. I guess the judges couldn’t save him this time. I think that if they could have done so they would have, given the speech that Len made at the end, saying that if he was his son he’d be very proud of him.

I hope Donny makes it at least as far as Marie did, or he will never hear the end of it.
