Adam Carolla is eliminated on Dancing With The Stars
The results show for Dancing With The Stars started off a bit differently tonight. Musical guest Sheryl Crow performed her hit “All I Wanna Do” and was accompanied by professional dancers Tony, Fabian, Kym and Edyta. As always the pros were great. From there we got out recap of last night’s performances.
I was hoping that even though the order of the show was different we’d still see an encore performance. However, when the judges chose Adam and Julianne to do the encore I changed my mind. Of all the great performances that happened last night you’d think the judges would pick one of them. Len said the judges couldn’t agree on what couple should do the encore but they all agreed that in terms of entertainment value Adam and Julianne were best. I’m glad I had the show on TiVo from last night so I can see the three other performances again that should have been the encore performance.
Elimination time: we find out that Kristi and Mark and Edyta and Jason are safe.
I guess that now there’s going to be a competition within a competition where young ballroom dancers compete against each other on the show for the judges. Tonight was the 9 and under category. The first couple was a 9 and 8 year old who danced the Samba (Aaron and Daniela) and they were just so adorable. She had such a presence and you could see the star potential in both of them. The second couple were two 8 year olds (Aaron and Rashell) who danced the Paso Doble and I couldn’t believe that they were only 8. They gave a performance that was years beyond their age. Either couple deserved to move forward, as proved by the split decision of the judges. Len wanted Aaron and Daniela to move forward while Carrie Ann and Bruno chose Aaron and Rashell.
Sheryl Crow was up next, performing a song from her latest album. She was accompanied by two champion ballroom dancers whose names I did not catch. They were good, as all the ballroom dancers are on the show, but I was starting to get bored waiting for the results portion of the show.
Elimination time again: we find out that Marlee and Fabian are safe.
After an interview with Kristi and Jason where Jason says he can see Kristi’s butt and is keeping it in sight we find out two more couples who are safe: Cristian and Cheryl and Mario and Karina.
The bottom two couples tonight were Priscilla and Louis and Adam and Julianne. Priscilla looked as if she was in tears, and then looked as if she would faint when she found out that Adam Carolla was the celebrity going home tonight. I guess all his radio fans couldn’t make up for the low judges’ scores.
