AI – Week One Results
Well, tonight didn’t exactly go as I had expected. There were 32 million votes – that didn’t surprise me. The singers that would be helping the top 12 idols this year were Diana Ross, Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Tony Bennett, Martina McBride, LuLu, Peter Noone, and Barry Gibb. Okay, that is pretty impressive.
But the voting was weird. Paul was the last guy in the back row and he was sent home. I liked Paul – I dunno what happened there. I was sure Antonella was out, as I am sure she was since she was the last girl standing in the back row. But no, she got to stay. So no girl on the back row left. Then Ryan coldly calls up Amy on her own and tells her she is going home. Dude, that was just wrong. And I still think it is wrong to make them sing the song that is sending them home again!
Then it comes down to Nicole and Alaina. Alaina wasn’t “Special” but then neither was Nicole. But I thought both were better than Antonella. Anyhow, Nicole was sent home. For the guys, it came down to Rudy and my boy Sanjaya. I was so afrais Sanjaya was going home, but then Ryan said one was going home and the other was in the top 4 guys. Could those 15 calls I made for Sanjaya have made a difference? Apparently because Rudy was sent home. I hate that, I liked Rudy. I would have really rather seen Sundance go. He hasn’t done anything to impress me since his audition. You can only ride that so far!
