AI Results: Okay, What Do We Talk About Now?
A hush fell over America tonight as the unthinkable happened…Sanjaya was eliminated from American Idol. Okay, maybe it was not so much a hush as a collective sigh of relief, but honestly, you Sanjaya naysayers, remember he was a young kid who really didn’t ask to continue in a competition where he got way over his head. Someone in America was voting for him and I think, considering he was up against stiff competition, he handled himself pretty well.
Well, I already spoiled who went home, but almost just as shocking was who was in the bottom three. Phil dragged himself up from the bottom and actually made it to the safe group tonight, as did Jordin, Chris, and Melinda. The bottom three was Sanjaya, Lakisha, and Blake. I dunno what happened – I voted for Blake, but where were his other fans? And Lakisha, who was told by Simon that he thought she could win, was in the bottom. Anyhow, Sanjaya’s exit should be a wake up call to the remaining contestants – there are no more sure exits. One bad move now could mean you are on the next plane home.
