Amazing Race: And the Eliminated Team Is…
The teams left Croatia for Italy. After taking a bus then a ferry, they were to drive to Empoli. Rachel and TK left their clue card behind when asking for directions and had to turn around to get it. Nathan and Jennifer got along much better this trip. They took a short cut and led the pack most of the way until Donald and Nicolas decided to do the Fast Forward, which involved getting a FF (for fast forward) tattooed on their arm. That let them skip right to the pit stop, so they finished in first.
Poor Kynt and Vyxsin got lost on the way to Empoli. TK and Rachel didn’t have much better luck. The Roadblock was to ride for 30 minutes in an ultralight until the team member saw the clue Vinci. If they didn’t find it within 30 minutes, they had to land and go up again. TK had to go up three times before he saw it, putting him and Rachel in last place. Jennifer, who wasn’t too happy that they chose to not do the Fast Forward, and Nathan finished in second. Ronald and Christina finished third, despite Ronald yelling at Christina again and trying to drive off before she was in the car.
Kynt yelled at Vyxsin to turn around at one point, then she sped forward and he told her to stop or he was jumping out of the car. She stopped and he tried to drive, but apparently screwed up the stick shift. They ran to the next clue, but once they got back, their replacement car was there. That gave TK and Rachel time to catch up, but then they had a flat. In the end, even though they had bad luck this whole leg, TK and Rachel finished in fourth.
Kynt and Vyxsin finished last, but they were told by Phil that this was the first of two non-elimination rounds. But, there is a new twist this season. Next round, they will run into a speed bump – a task only they have to complete while everyone else continues to race. And when it happens will be a surprise. That is new this season and should be interesting.
