Amazing Race: Cash for Yield
Danny and Oswald definitely made some enemies tonight. Although the Blondes told the story several different ways (“They convinced us to do it,” “We gave them money to not yield us”), the truth is Danny and Oswald whored themselves out for money. Being broke, they accepted $45 from the Blondes to yield the team of the Blondes choice: Eric and Danielle. When they told Charla what they had done, she said she and Mirna would have given them the money if they had asked. Of course, I am sure Eric and Danielle would have given them money to have yielded the Blondes!
Roadblock tonight was interesting – one team member had to walk around the highest building in Macau, China, the Macau Tower, then jump from it. The Detour was Noodle or Dragon – the teams had to make noodles or carry a dragon through the streets to the lake. Everyone but Danny and Oswald chose noodle and it turned out to be a big mistake for them – their taxi driver took them to the lake first, they after they got the dragon, they couldn’t find the lake. It gave Eric and Danielle time to move up into second place.
In the end, the Blondes finished first. Eric and Danielle finished second, so they had to wait 30 minutes. Charla and Mirna came in, so they were given second place while Eric and Danielle still waited. It looked like maybe Danny and Oswald would make it in time, but they didn’t so Eric and Danielle finished in third. Danny and Oswald weren’t eliminated though. It was the final non-elimination round, but they are marked for eliminations and having made no friends, it looks like next week will be a tough one for them.
