Amazing Race: Jen and Kisha are Eliminated
Last week on “Amazing Race,” Jaime and Cara were first, but were told the leg wasn’t over yet. They almost blew it tonight, but came in third to make the finale over Jen and Kisha. It all came down to peeing.
After last week’s “pit stop,” teams had to search mall shops for a Travelocity gnome. They had to carry that with them throughout the race tonight. Then, they had to ride electronic bikes to find the Detour – Beijing Opera or Beijing Waiter. Tammy and Victor were the only ones who chose waiter. That involved taking orders in Mandarin then repeating them to the chef and serving the customers. Even Tammy and Victor screwed it up the first time. Everyone else chose Opera, which was to paint each other’s face like opera stars then put on costumes. The only problem was they had to run around the rest of the show like that.
Cara and Jaime had trouble finding taxis the whole night and when they did, they went to the wrong place. I had to laugh when they did their best opera imitation, then got mad that the cabbie took them to the wrong opera house. After being in first, they were in dead last. Fortunately for them, after the Detour, there was a U-Turn. Victor and Tammy were in first the whole show and they u-turned Jen and Kisha. So after the Opera bit, they had to do the waiting. I figured they would never get it, but after stuff like “monthly used Taiwanese chicken,” they finally got it right.
Next up was a Roadblock. This was just nasty. One team member had to eat grasshoppers, larva, scorpions, and star fish. This would have been where I would have had to let the chance at winning a million go. Jen got everything down and they finished before Jaime and Cara, but Jen drank four bottles of water to get everything down and had to pee.
Margie and Luke finished second and even though Jaime and Cara were in fourth, racing behind Kisha and Jen, they finished in third because Jen had to stop to pee. Phil told them they finished just seconds behind Jaime and Cara. Jen cried, but Kisha said she was still proud of her and it wasn’t her fault.
So, the final three teams are Tammy and Victor, Margie and Luke, and Jaime and Cara.
