Amazing Race: Lance and Keri are Eliminated
This “Amazing Race” teams took off for the world’s tallest building – the Burj Dubai. Mika got sick just looking at the building, but thankfully they didn’t have to rappel down it. They went up to the 124th floor to get their next clue. Meghan and Cheyne got the Fast Forward. They went to the Autodrome and he drove a really fast car around the track in less than 45 second to advance them to first place. The other teams headed to the desert conservation preserve. Lance and Keri got lost – a position they found themselves in most of this episode.
Once in the desert, the teams faced a Roadblock – one person had to find a urn containing water in the desert and fill a bag with it. The urns were mostly buried and it seemed that they had to walk a long distance to find one that contained water. Brian found water first, then told Maria and Dan where they could find the urn with water, hoping for good karma in return. Maria let Dan use her ladle after his broke, so everyone was helping each other.
Next, the teams left for Sky Dubai, a manmade indoor ski slope. There, they found the Detour – build a snowman or find a snowman. Most chose find a snowman, but they had to dig through a huge pile of snow and the snowman was very small. Ericka found one as did the Globetrotter, but Maria and Tiffany, Gary and Matt, and Sam and Dan decided to give up searching for the tiny snowman and build one. The problem was the building took place outside in the scorching heat. Everyone finished though and even Lance and Keri, when they finally showed up, decided to build the snowman.
Meghan and Cheyne arrived at the pit stop (Souk Madinat Jumeirah) first. Erick and Brian finished second and Flight Time and Big Easy showed up in third. Gary and Matt finished in fourth, Sam and Dan finished in fifth, Maria and Tiffany finished in sixth, and Mika and Canaan finished in seventh. When they finally arrived, Lance and Keri were told by Phil that they were last and had been eliminated.
