Amazing Race: Matt and Gary are Eliminated
The “Amazing Race” contestants left Stockholm for Tallin, Estonia. The ferry there didn’t leave until late in the afternoon, so all the teams were equal stepping off the boat, except for Matt and Gary who still had to complete a Speed Bump. The teams had a set of keys and had to figure out how to unlock the doors of the Mustpeade, the home of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads.
Matt and Gary had to perform their Speed Bump, which was to take a sauna in a bus with locals. It put them 5 minutes behind, which didn’t seem like much, but other choices kept them in last place the whole time.
Once in the Mustpeade, teams had to go to the cellar and find a candelabrum with a number on it, then find that corresponding room. Matt killed me with the “What is a candle-a-bra?” He had no clue, which put them further behind. After the teams found the room, they had to open a scroll and realize they could read the next clue if they held the scroll over the flame of the candelabra. Some like Flight Time tried to scratch a crayon on it to find the clue, but eventually everyone held it over the flame.
The next clue was to travel to the Pikk Hermann Tower Garden. Matt and Gary missed the clue box initially and spent time running around looking for it. At the tower was a Detour: Serve (play volleyball in the bog and score 5 points against a local team) or Sling (use small vegetables with a slingshot to hit a moose target). Everyone chose Serve except Matt and Gary. Brian and Ericka wanted to do Serve, but with the brothers and the Globetrotters already playing, they had to take Sling.
The pit stop was the top of Keava Raba Overlook Tower. Meghan and Cheyne came in first. After a scuffle, Sam and Dan beat out the Globetrotters for second place, but the brothers better watch out – the Trotters are out for blood now. Coming in fourth was Brian and Ericka and Matt and Gary were eliminated.
