Amazing Race: Michael and Mark are Eliminated
The eliminated team, Michael and Mark, was pretty much a no brainer this week on “Amazing Race,” since they were 3 hours behind due to their penalties from last week. However, what was shocking was the nastiness between Kisha and Jen and Margie and Luke.
It started on the first clue box in China. Luke and Jen saw the clue box at the same time and raced to it. I really cannot remember what happened, but Luke elbowed Jen out of the way. That ticked them off and at the next clue box, Jen ran in front of Luke and elbowed him. Jen called Luke a bitch and when he found that out, he was not happy. I dunno who is right on this one. Maybe since Luke cannot hear, when Jen came up behind him, the elbowing was a natural reaction. All I know is by the end of the episode, Luke was upset and Margie thought Kisha and Jen were laughing at the fact that he was deaf.
Tammy and Victor spoke Mandarin, so at times, this leg of the race was easier for them, but then at other times, their knowledge of the language wasn’t any help at all. It certainly didn’t help Tammy when talking to the birds at the Roadblock. The bird ended up nipping Luke, which Kisha and Jen called karma.
The Detour was funny. Other than Michael and Mark, Jaime and Kara were the only ones to choose the choreography task. Everyone else chose calligraphy, which meant they just followed Tammy and Victor around. Jaime and Kara thought their cheerleading experience would help them, but the judges didn’t like the way they did it the first time. They tried it again and the judges still said it was not right. Angry, they left to go do the other detour, but then decided to turn around and try the dance one more time. Finally, they passed. So much for cheerleading experience!
They kept showing Michael and Mark, even though I knew they had no chance of catching up. It was funny watching them dance with each other though. Kisha and Jen finished first, right ahead of Victor and Tammy (who were second), and Margie and Luke (who were third). After the blow up between the two teams, Kisha apologized to Margie if she thought they were laughing at Luke. Who knows how much later after all the other teams that Michael and Mark arrived, but they were eliminated.
