Amazing Race: Nathan and Jenn are Eliminated
And the really bad news is it was Jenn’s birthday! But I am glad to see these two negative people gone! They bickered the whole way, with Nathan telling Jenn at one point “I can’t stand you.” Let me tell you how it happened.
TK and Rachel were at elimination’s door. They were about three hours behind all the other teams AND had to do the Speed Bump since they finished last. But, after most teams left around 7, they arrived at the floating gardens, which didn’t open until 10. Jenn was NOT happy to see TK and Rachel catch up. Nor was she happy when Christina told the ticket agent to tell them there were no more seats in the first flight out of Osaka to Taipei, Taiwan. With Ronald and Christina getting out of Osaka about 30 minutes ahead of the other teams, they led the whole race.
From there, the teams faced their first roadblock, something I could not have done. They had to balance in a car driven by a stunt drive. The kicker was it was on a platform 25 feet in the air! Then, they had to drive with him underwater for 17 seconds. After that, TK and Rachel faced their speed bump – to don safety suits and run through fireworks. For a while, Donald and Nicolas were in last, but their taxi driver got them to the teahouse quicker than the other teams. The detour saw the teams walk over jagged stones (no one chose to fly the lanterns).
Ronald and Christina arrived in first and TK and Rachel arrived second. It may have just been the editing, but it looked as if it was pretty close between Donald and Nicolas and Nathan and Jenn, but Donald and Nicolas managed to come in third. I was happy to see all these teams in the final three. It was sad, however, to hear Jenn saying she thought they killed their relationship on the show and hearing Nathan cry.

It was sad to see the breakup but better now than later. This race let them see what was in store for them if they stay together.

Actually, I read a interview with them the other day and I think it said they took some time apart after the race, but realized they loved each other and got back together. Love is strange I guess
