Amazing Race: Not the End of the Leg?
The teams on “Amazing Race” left for Beijing. The animosity between Margie and Luke and Kisha and Jen continued, but by the end of the episode, it looked like Margie and Luke might come out on top.
Tammy and Victor thought they would have an advantage since they had been to Beijing and knew the language, but no one was really prepared for the foot massage. Cara was literally crying and Kisha was biting on her jacket. Luke and Tammy took it a bit better.
After that Roadblock, the teams looked for the Guangcai natatorium. There they found a Detour – Sync or Swim. In Sync, teams had to dive in sync. It sounded easy, but Tammy and Victor never could get it right and gave up to swim. Jen and Kisha tried the diving, but Jen was afraid of water. She was actually afraid of drowning, but if she could learn to swim with her head out of the water, she might have a lesser chance of that happening. I’ve never seen anyone “swim” and have it look more like they were doing the dead man’s float.
Jen and Kisha switched to swimming, but that was hard. Each member had to don a Michael Phelp’s lasersuit and swim 200 meters, with the two alternating. Margie and Luke did the best it seemed. Kisha did one lap, pretty much hanging onto the rope the whole time. Jen and Kisha then decided to switch back to diving, but after Tammy and Victor left, they abandoned it too. Jen started crying and just had a breakdown. After Tammy and Victor had vanished, Kisha finally convinced her to finish strong and they completed the laps.
Jaime and Cara were so excited because they were hoping to finish first. They did bounce onto the pitstop mat first, but was told by Phil that they finished first, but the leg was not over yet and handed them another clue. The show cut off at that point.
