Amazing Race: Season Finale
This is the moment we have all been waiting on – who would win the Amazing Race All-Stars season. The early favorites, Rob and Amber, were kicked out early on. The remaining teams were the Blondes, Eric and Danielle, and Charla and Mirna. The teams left for Honolulu and Charla and Mirna managed to get a flight that arrived in Honolulu 40 minutes earlier than the other two teams. That gave them an advantage, at least for a little while. Charla and Mirna got the first helicopter flight to the island of Lanai. They chose to paddle on surfboards to the buoy for the next clue. Eric and Danielle and the Blondes chose the Under detour – to swim to an underwater cave for their next clue.
The next stop was shipwreck beach. The two teams ran past Charla and Mirna, dropping them to last place. Each team had to get in a kayak and paddle to the buoy next to the shipwreck. It was hard for everyone because the waves kept pushing them back, but Eric and Danielle made it there first, with the Blondes just a little behind them. The Blondes started fighting amongst themselves, but soon made up.
The final stop was San Francisco. All the teams left on the same flight, but it was the “how well do you know your teammate” detour that put Eric and Danielle in the lead. One teammate had to answer four questions about all the other teams from this season. Their answers made up a four-digit code they had to key into a safe, which contained the last clue. The other teammate had to guess what answers the first teammate had chosen, and then enter that code into the safe. If they were correct, they opened the safe and found the next clue. If not, they had to continue for 10 more minutes then they would be given the final clue. Eric and Danielle were the only two to correctly guess each other’s answers.
The final clue was to head to the botanical gardens. Eric and Danielle came running in with all the other teams of the season clapping for them. The Blondes, who looked strong towards the end finished in second (was that yield karma coming back on them?) and Charla and Mirna finished third.
