Amazing Race: Ty and Aja are Eliminated
The Amazing Race teams left New Zealand for Cambodia. I loved that neither Dallas nor Andrew knew where Cambodia was. I guess as Andrew said they only teach it in “private schools.” It was a race between Ken and Tina, Sarah and Terence, Toni and Dallas and Nick and Starr. Sarah and Terence passed everyone, but then, at the Siem Reap harbor, their boat broke down. It allowed the other teams to pass.
The detour this week was Village Life (had to go by boat to collect three items) or Village Work (wade in water to collect two fishing baskets filled with fish). The village life definitely seemed easier! Kelly and Christy fell behind when they didn’t locate the clue box before trying to shoot the basketballs (part of the Village Life detour), but they made up the time.
After that, teams went to Angkor Wat temple for a roadblock. One team member had to find the chamber of echos room then thump their chest for the next clue. Tina got lost and actually walked through the room at least once, putting them far behind. Nick and Starr finished first. Toni and Dallas came in second while Terence and Sarah were third and Ken and Tina finished fourth. Kelly and Christy managed to beat the frat guys and came in fifth. Andrew and Dan came in sixth.
Poor Ty and Aja were behind the whole time. I kept rooting for them, hoping they’d overtake the clueless frat boys, but they never did. They came in seventh and were eliminated.
