America’s Best Dance Crew: The Banner Falls for Boogie Bots
This week, the crew’s were to dance to the music of Missy Elliott. But this week was a bit tougher – Missy Elliott would be judging as well.
The first crew to be told they were safe was SoReal Cru. They got the song “One Minute Man.” They were worried about performing the knee knock from the video. But according to Shane, they killed it. However, JC thought their routine wasn’t difficult and the judges fought about that for a minute. Missy wasn’t going to get into that fight – she just said the intro did it for her.
The second safe crew was Super Cr3w, after two weeks in the bottom. They got the Missy Elliott song “We Run This,” a B-boy track. The pyramid at the beginning was pretty impressive as was the last intricate move with the dude lying backwards off the stage. JC and Shane had nothing but praise. JC said they were amazing, exciting, athletic, and well done. Shane said they had every break dancer at home up on their feet. Missy thought they made her video look whack. I love SoReal Cru, but Super Cr3w did make them look a bit weak with this incredible performance.
Fighting for their lives was Boogie Bots and Fanny Pak. I felt bad for the Boogie Bots. Lil Mama called them out last week and their performance this week was not good. In fact, Shane called it “bad” and “terrible.” Missy thought the negative comments were affecting them. Lil Mama apologized, but said she didn’t regret making the “not excited by Boogie Bots” comment.
Then, Fanny Pak came out and blew everyone away. They got the first standing ovation from the judges this season. Their walking back bends were incredible. Lil Mama called it an “in your face, unforgettable performance.” Shane loved their shout out to Super Cr3w.
Needless to say, after that exciting routine, the banner fell for Boogie Bots. So, the final three crews are Fanny Pak, SoReal Cru, and Super Cr3w.
