America’s Best Dance Crew: The Banner Falls for Rhythm City
It is down to the final three on “America’s Best Dance Crew” as Rhythm City was sent home this week.
It was the VMA challenge and We Are Heroes found themselves safe for the first time in a long time. Their performance was “Vogue” by Madonna. They incorporated the fans into their performance, which Lil Mama liked. Shane loved their flips at the end, but while JC said they had a breakout moment, the performance as a whole was just okay for him.
Next up was Afroborike, another crew not unfamiliar with the bottom. Their performance was “I’m a Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears. Those girls were daring – they even brought out a real snake at the end. Lil Mama called it the best choreography she had seen from them and Shane said the opening where the guys used the trapeze chains was the dopest into ever. However, JC said it wasn’t the best choreography he had seen, but admitted they did sell the performance.
The battle was between Massive Monkees, who found themselves on the bottom for the first time, and Rhythm City. The performances came down to a real battle between the judges. JC said Massive Monkees, who got “Tearin’ Up My Heart” by ‘NSync, picked a good time to have one of their best performances. But, he felt that the performance by Rhythm City was just ridiculous. He called it tight and amazing. Shane and Lil Mama disagreed, saying that Rhythm City, who got “Wall to Wall” by Chris Brown, lost focus on the performance and it wasn’t really what they wanted. JC and Shane exchanged a few words, but the final decision was to send Rhythm City home.
