America’s Best Dance Crew: We Are Heroes and Afroborike Advance to the Finals!
The final three crews on “America’s Best Dance Crew” performed the Decades of Dance challenge. They had to take the dancing of five icons – James Brown, Rock Steady Crew, Paula Abdul, Usher, and Lady GaGa – and incorporate their classic dance moves with their style.
Afroborike learned first that they would be advancing to the finals while Massive Monkees and We Are Heroes would battle it out. Shane didn’t like that Afroborike didn’t use footwork in the James Brown section. Lil Mama said they walked through the performance but JC said they were great entertainers and no other crews can do what they do.
Massive Monkees were told their performance wasn’t that difficult by Lil Mama, but JC loved JD’s James Brown footwork. Lil Mama said We Are Heroes transitioned well and Shane said they were so versatile. The judges voted to send We Are Heroes through to the finale and the banner fell for Massive Monkees.
Both Afroborike and We Are Heroes performed their last challenge, in which they had free reign to do whatever they wanted. I loved Afroborike’s tribal dance, but the judges were standing for We Are Heroes performance, which included a ring of fire.
