America’s Got Talent: Fab 5, Paradizo Dance, the Texas Tenors, Voices of Glory, and Tony Hoard and Rory Advance
It was results night on “America’s Got Talent” and for the first time this year, at least that I remember, Piers made a child cry. Eleisha Miller cried because he X’d her. He does it every year (makes kids cry) – her parents should have warned her that Piers can be nasty sometimes!
First up were the Fab 5 and the Beale Street Flippers. I hated it, but I figured the Fab 5 would be moving on and they did. The Voices of Glory beat out Carol Loo and Eleshia Miller. The Texas Tenors beat Pete Peterkin, but Piers told them “less cheese please.”
Alizma appeared to be sore losers, well, at least one sister did when she left the stage without saying bye to Nick after they were dismissed. The other two sisters did hug Nick however. Also leaving was SQ Entertainment, leaving Paradizo Dance to move on in the competition.
The last choice was up to the judges and it was between Tony Hoard and Rory and Charles Dewayne. Sharon was asked first, but she needed more time. The drama was building as the Hoff voted for Tony and Rory. Piers, rightfully so, said it would be the biggest scandal in AGT history if Charles didn’t move on. Of course, Sharon voted for Tony and Rory. Now, I have nothing against Tony and Rory – the dog was adorable and I know Tony’s nerves got to him, but Charles was better. In fact, I would have put Charles in the semi-finals over Voice of Glory, the Texas Tenors, and the Fab 5.
Once again the show has disappointed me, but not only am I used to it, I’ve come to expect it. The slow march towards the finale is starting to feel like a Band-Aid that is stuck to a painful sore being pulled off very, very slowly. The only highlight of the night was Penn & Teller’s outrageous skit. Now THAT was talent!
