America’s Got Talent: More Top 20 Acts are Chosen
The next five acts making it to the final 20 are: Sinatra impersonator Paul Salos, The Wright Kids, Daniel Jens, Queen Emily, and the judges decided Zooperstars! Well, not Piers, but Sharon did, and then the Hoff chose them over the Beyond Belief dancers. I guessed they all would make it through except I thought maybe trombonist Jonathan Arons would pull it off, despite the bad playing.
Tonight’s performers were:
Texas State Strutters, a dance troupe – Very amateur as Piers said so I’m afraid we aren’t going to see them again except to say goodbye.
Michael Strelo-Smith, an opera singer – After the backtalk to Piers and Sharon, I am not sure what his chances are.
Bruce Block, a performance artist/magician – All the judges totally dissed his act – I thought it was kinda cute, but what was up with so many dwarfs?
Shequida (Gary Hall), an operatic drag queen – Hum, I liked her/him better when he/she did the male/female singing
The Taubl Family, musicians – Good, but they still annoy me
Jonathan Burkin, a baton twirler – Amazing that this kid could be a highlight of the night!
Sarah Lenore, a singer/musician – I thought she did really well
SickStep, a dance crew – These guys are as good as Texas State Strutters should have been
Matthew Piazzi, an impressionist – I liked his Vince Vaughn; I LOVED his George Clooney, however, his Nicholson kind of sucks
Joseph Hall, an Elvis impersonator – Didn’t sound much like Elvis tonight, but still sexy
If I had to guess, I’d say that The Taubl Family, Sarah Lenore, Jonathan Burkin, SickStep, and Joseph Hall will be moving on.
