America’s Got Talent: Ten Acts Are Left!
The last five acts for the finals were announced: Terry Fator, The Duttons, Calypso Tumblers, Cas Haley, and Jason Pritchett. I thought The Fault Line deserved to be there too, but what do I know? At least we don’t have to see Boy Shakira anymore.
Then everyone got to perform. The Calypso Tumblers really wowed everyone with their energy and acrobatics. Jason Pritchett returned to country, which was a good thing. Butterscotch was good (as usual) as was Cas Haley, although Piers thought he should stick to reggae. I wasn’t real impressed with the Glamazons version of “Fever” and I am not so sure the judges were either. Both Piers and Sharon mentioned they didn’t have the strongest singing voices in the competition. Robert Hatcher has a good voice, but it faltered a bit this week. Piers said he had some problems this week, but his emotion and passion made up for it.
I thought the Duttons were better than last week, but they are still not my favorites by a long shot. Terry Fator was great again. He has consistently been so good with his act and the story about playing a 1,000-seat auditorium for one kid was sad. I hope he does well. Poor little Julienne Irwin had problems with her song and Piers really jumped on Sideswipe. They brought out some of their young students and Piers said he said he thought it probably cost them the million dollars – ouch!
