America’s Got Talent: The Final 40 Acts…Almost
Here’s the list the names of the final 40 acts for America’s Got Talent or at least the ones they told us about. Forgive me if I cannot remember all the names, but even the NBC web page doesn’t list names yet:
Elvis impersonator Joseph Hall
R&B singer Bryan Cheatam
Nuttin but Stringz (can’t believe the judges even had to think about putting them through!)
George the straw through the nose guy (ew)
Russian Bar Trio (this is a truly incredible act worthy of a Vegas show)
The James Gang (the Harlem singers)
Tina Turner impersonator Dorae Sanders (the first of my many “why?”s)
The Taubl Family (No!)
Impressionist Matthew Piazzi (at least I think it was him-was he the Clooney guy?)
Some kids music act I don’t remember
Singer Eli Mattson (I like him)
The weird dancer guy (I think his name is Ron?)
Indiggo (memo to judges, they cannot sing! And did the one sister growl at the Hoff?)
Sinatra impersonator Paul Salos (he’s such a sweet old guy)
4 year old singer Kaitlyn Maher (all I can say is “ugh”)
Soldier/singer Daniel Jens
The magician that was commenting on David Martin last night
Fire act Flambeaux
Karate girl Alexandria Pyles (seriously?)
Chiquita, the male/female opera singer (he/she’s good!)

Okay, that is only 39, someone is missing. Let me tell you who was NOT on the list – wedding singer Kyle Rifkin, sword swallower Dan Meyer, singer Donald Braswell (the one who has his vocal chords severed in a wreck), New Orleans dancers Lil Countrie and Page 1NE (who were so good), fast dancers Junior and Emily, dancer Xclusive (who danced in his room), and Miss Pussyckatt (the grinder girl), but you can bring one of them or young contortionist Victoria Jacoby back.
Why? Because the Russian Bar Trio girl Christine was injured when a stunt went wrong and they had to withdraw (which is a shame – what an incredible act that was!). So the viewing public gets to vote one act back in, which sucks because I like several of them.
Personally, I’d vote all of them back in if we could get rid of Kaitlyn, George the nose straw guy, the Zooperstars! (although the duck trembling with anticipation was funny), most of the girl dance groups, the Tapping Dads (again, why?), the baton guy, Boy Tina (at least Boy Britney looks like a girl) and the Taubls with their 50 member family.
Oh heck, let’s just call the show off now and give Nuttin but Stringz the money!
