America’s Got Talent: The Final Auditions
This year’s auditions have come to an end on America’s Got Talent. This week, the auditions were all MySpace people who had turned in videos. After several Nos to acts like rock n’ roll magician Michael Trixx, Diva Boy, motivational rapper Eloy Rendon, the Cluck-off champion, some guy who wanted to put fireworks in his pants, and the angry Vicki Lawrence singer, there was finally a yes – to an Ozzy impersonator. But, he was so good, Sharon wanted to check in his pants to make sure it wasn’t really Ozzy. Thankfully that didn’t happen, but Randy Hanson was moved on to Vegas.
Holly Stone, who found the daughter she had to give up at 18 on MySpace, was also put through. The Cadence was a group of drummers. You know, if they painted their faces blue, they could be the Blue Man Group, but I don’t think Sharon got it. She said no, but the Hoff and Piers both said yes, so off they go. Shimshi did a magic act I’ve never seen – he cut a girl’s middle section out, but the box she was in was clear. I hope we see more of him. Someone we won’t see more of who is going to Vegas are the Tapping Dads. May not even see the juggling act, the Lasalle Brothers. But, Matthew Piazzi did a great George Clooney impersonation, so I hope we do see more of him. Kazual was a BoyzIIMen a cappella group who got voted through, but they nixed the mom and daughter whistlers, the Sweetones. It was kinda cool yet kinda creepy.
The typical “feel good” last act was soldier Daniel Jens, who had just gotten back from 15 months in Iraq. He sang and played guitar and Piers seemed hesitant, but I think the Hoff was crying by the time they brought his wife out on stage. Hard to say if we will see anymore of him or not.
