American Gladiators: The Carnage Continues!
Tonight’s episode, appearing in its regular time slot, featured two men (Jeff Chapman and Adonis Lockett) and two women (Christie Philips and Siene Silva) battling each other to make it to the finals.
During the Gauntlet, it appeared that neither man would pick up the full 10 points by going through the wall, but after a referee reviewed the tape, it showed that Justice had barred Adonis after he got into the gray zone and he was awarded 10 points. For the women, Christie ran into trouble against Hellga and only earned six points, but Siene got the full 10 points.
Next up was the Wall. Adonis was caught by Mayhem and took a dip in the water, but Jeff managed to avoid Toa and made it to the top. The second event for the women was the Joust. Christie and Siene both were quickly crushed by Crush.
The guys had to battle Militia on in the Earthquake challenge next. Jeff managed to take Militia down, and then took him off the platform to earn the points. Adonis tried to earn the points by putting Militia in a headlock, but as they both went over the edge, Militia managed to grab a supporting rope and swung back up on the platform. The women faced Venom in Hang Tough, but only Siene was able to hang tough against Venom and win the points.
The men faced Wolf in Hang Tough. For some reason, to me, Wolf seems to be the crazy Gladiator, but then maybe they want it that way. Adonis made it to the platform, but Jeff got his feet on it, but they weren’t planted on it before Wolf pulled him down. The women went up against Fury in the Assault challenge. Fury was able to pick off both women before they got very far.
In the Eliminator, Jeff had a four second lead over Adonis. He was able to maintain a good lead up until he reached the hand bike, then the travelator gave both competitors trouble, but Adonis finished first. Adonis – you gotta love that name. If he is a Gladiator next season, I say they don’t even change his name!
For the women, Siene had a seven and a half minute lead over Christie. She fell from the hand bike, but still managed to beat Christie and move on to the finals.
