American Idol – Unseen Footage
Well, they called this show the Best of the Rest, but I am not so sure about that. However, we did see a few “bests” that we missed the first time around. Paul really surprised me between his talking voice and his singing voice. Tami was good and I liked her, but I was surprised to hear Simon say 1000%. I guess even Simon has his good days when he feels generous. Gina was a repeat from Season 5 I think it was. Two of the three carhops made it. Ebony was beautiful and like Simon said in a different league from the other two, but I am worried. On the Hollywood previews, it looked like I saw her in tears. But then I guess in Hollywood, most everyone sheds some tears at some point. Lakisha was good, but I just hate the belters – those that feel they have to yell to make the song good. Maybe someone in Hollywood can tone that down.
I read a rumor online yesterday that Akron, the cousin from San Antonio auditions that make it to Hollywood, got his ticket revoked right before he left. Someone seems to think he had a criminal record and that was the reason, but I think Akron said he wasn’t told why. He was just told two days before leaving that he couldn’t go. I hate that, I really liked him.
