American Idol: Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver, and Danny Gokey Make the Top 12
Tonight was results night on American Idol – three hopefuls would make it through and the rest could only hope to get a wildcard spot. There was a record number 24 million votes last night.
These twelve sang a song, and then Ryan started talked to everyone. Tatiana was wearing Paula’s ring, we learned what Stevie talked to her mom about last night…oh, this show should have been 30 minutes – definitely! Too much filler…blah, blah, blah – get to results Ryan!
Finally, he started naming names, but not in a good way:
Casey Carlson – gone
Stephen Fowler – gone (I hate this, I liked him)
Alexis Grace – Top 12 (ah, I wrote that before Ryan announced it I was so sure!)
Ricky Braddy – gone (oh, too bad – he was good)
Jackie Tohn – gone
Anoop Desai – gone (hum, I hate this too)
Michael Sarver – Top 12
Hey wait, Michael Johns is on with Carly Smithson. I love Michael Johns, but I really didn’t need to know that Carly’s bag got lost and she had to go find a weave in the Asian section of town. Filler at its worst!
After they sang a song, back to the results:
Brent Keith – gone
Anne Marie Boskovich – gone
Stevie Wright – gone
You had to know it would come down to Danny Gokey and Tatiana Del Toro for the final spot. Paula said it would be Danny going to the Top 12 and she was right. I thought the day of no more Tatiana would never get here! Of course, even after Danny made it, it was still all about Tatiana as the camera kept cutting to her crying.
