American Idol: Alexis is Sent Home
It was the results of Grand Ole Opry Night on “American Idol.” Tonight was really important – everyone who made it through tonight would be on the tour.
So, who was safe? There was the obvious no-brainer – Danny. Wasn’t too sure about Lil, but she made it as well. Anoop was told to sit down, he was safe too. Allison was in the bottom 3 – what? That is crazy – that girl has insane pipes. Michael had sat down, but then Ryan told him that he too was in the bottom three. Ah, don’t let him sit down then call him out like the Ryan!
Scott was safe – yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Megan was safe – wait, Megan got more votes than Allison? No way! Matt is going on tour as is Kris. I am glad to see Kris going. It was down to Alexis and Adam. Alexis was in the bottom three. Adam was safe (another no-brainer).
So, two of my favorites were in the bottom three – that sucks. Ryan told Allison to sit down – whew! She is just too too good to leave this early. We saw Randy Travis and Carrie Underwood sing before finding out who was leaving. I think Randy Travis should have been an Osmond with that smile he has!
Ryan asked the judges if they would save either Alexis or Michael tonight and Simon said that they had talked about it and would consider saving one. The bottom vote getter was Alexis. Michael was safe and told to sit down. Simon said that Alexis was the one they were thinking about saving, so she had to give it her all. I’ve always liked Alexis – no way is Megan better than Alexis – no way! Simon clapped – was that a good sign? Simon said they were unanimous – it was good, but not good enough.
Ugh, what a rip-off!

I thought she was pretty good on with her performance of Jolene. I didn’t think she was the weakest singer left in the group by any means. You’re right, she should have been saved.
