American Idol: Allison, Kris, and Adam Make the Top 12
Tonight’s “American Idol” started out just last like week’s result show with a recap of how the contestants got there and then a group performance.
Ryan called Allison to the center stage then asked her to step aside and called Jessie down and asked her to step aside. Then, he called Matt B. down. I just noticed tonight – Matt’s a big, big guy (or Ryan’s a shrimp). Randy said he thought one of the girls would make it in and was hoping it was Allison. Ryan said yes, it was Allison.
Ryan then called down Megan and Kris. Although I liked Kris, I didn’t think he could beat Adam for the guy’s spot. Then, Ryan called down Matt and Jeanine. Ryan told them that one of the four is going into the Top 12. Ryan asked Paula who she thought would go through. She said she was torn between everyone but Jeanine (well, she didn’t mention Jeanine’s name). Ryan told Jeanine it wasn’t her. Then, he told Matt to sit down. The next one in the Top 12 was Kris. Either I was wrong about not beating Adam or he is the third place vote getter.
Brooke White came back to perform her first single, then Ryan called for the final five contestants – Mishovanna, Kai, Nick, Adam, and Jasmine. Ryan talked to Mishovanna, Kai, and Jasmine, then skipped Nick and Adam. Hum. I thought I knew what was coming and I did – all three of those contestants were told they were not though.
So, it was between the flamboyant Nick (Simon’s worst nightmare) and Adam. Simon said he prayed for five or six hours non-stop that Nick didn’t make it. Did anyone notice Nick was surprisingly subdued tonight? Maybe he knew as Ryan read that Nick was not through (dang, there’s 40 minute of my life I will never get back) and it was Adam in the Top 12. My only hope is that Nick makes a wildcard spot.
I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that I think Adam may win this season. He is working the rocker, grownup Jonas Brother look and has pipes, plus the girls love him.
