American Idol: Chikezie is Eliminated
After thirty million votes, America got a surprise for the AI bottom three. Kristy Lee, who I felt it would have been a bit sad if she were eliminated this week since she did so well for the first time everc, was NOT in the bottom three. I think this is her first time NOT being there! Chikezie was – I figured that. But the other two were a surprise – Syesha and Jason. Yes, Jason Castro who makes the teens scream (while David Archeleta has the tweens and Michael Johns excites the 20 year olds) was in the bottom three. I thought his song kinda sucked, but figured the young girls would get him through.
But even Sanjaya had to say goodbye at some point and like Simon said, if Jason doesn’t step it up, his time may be coming soon. But tonight, it was Chikezie’s time. I hated to see him go – he seems like such a nice guy. And I am pretty sure he holds the record for the Nigerian that has gone the furthest in the show.
Next week, we get to see Dolly Parton mentor the top 9.
