American Idol: Kansas City Auditions
Brace yourself America – another Castro is coming to American Idol. Brother Michael decided if Jason could do it, he could too and by gosh he did!
Those that we won’t be seeing more of are Chelsea Marquardt (when Randy laughs as soon as you open your mouth, it is a bad thing), Vaughn English (what was up with the banana thing?), Jasmine Joseph (who didn’t even stay long enough to hear a “no” from the judges), and Andrew Lang (who might have had a chance had he not been so theatrical and brought his own cheerleaders). Poor Michael Nicewonder – honey, when you mom tells you that you cannot sing, listen to her. And Mia Conley – she took rejection well (not), telling the judges they were wrong and “God’s gonna make you pay for it.” Well!
Going to Hollywood with Michael Castro is Ashley Anderson (who smartly picked a song co written by Simon), Casey Carlton (everyone loved her), Von Smith (nice hat, well see about the vocals later), Matt Breitzke (even though Randy said “no”), Jessica Furney (I liked her), India Morrison (sister Asia will have to cheer her from the sidelines), Jamar Rogers (overdone like the judges said, but there may be something there), Danny Gokey (what a heartbreaking story about his wife – nice vocals though), Anoop Desai (I liked him too – the vocals didn’t match the look), Asa Barnes (even though Simon didn’t seem to care for the Michael Jackson song), Dennis Brigham (who dreamed of Simon the night before), and Lil Rounds (good name – great vocals).
