American Idol: Michael is Sent Home
Thirty six million votes were cast last night for the American Idols, but someone had to go home. We got to see performances by Rubin Studdard, Smokey Robinson and Joss Stone, and the incredible Stevie Wonder.
Frankly, one of the bottom three surprised me. I am not sure how Megan is staying out of it. Matt definitely didn’t belong there, even Randy said so. I think Scott is great, but he gave a less than stellar performance last night and Michael wasn’t too good either, so those two weren’t surprises.
What did surprise me was after Michael sang, the judges were still undecided. I figured they would say no immediately, but the waiting must have given Michael some hope. However, Simon told him he was going home. At least he is on the tour, which is good – Michael seems like a really nice guy.
