American Idol: Scott Leaves
It was results night on “American Idol.” After hearing “Venus” by Frankie Avalon (do you think half of the people in the crowd knew who he was?), then seeing the weekly commercial, Ryan asked Adam, Kris, and Anoop to stand. Adam was told to sit down as was Kris, which meant that Anoop was in the bottom three.
Okay, was it just me or did Fox bleep out whatever web page Flo Rida gave out for his tour? Anyhow, Danny was asked to stand up then sit down. Ryan messed with Matt again before telling him he was safe. Scott was told to join Anoop – that sucks. Allison and Lil had to stand up. Allison was told she was safe, which meant Lil was going to sit between Anoop and Scott. Simon said they might save someone this week.
Where else but in America can you watch one long, unnecessarily drawn out show that has Flo Rida AND Kelly Pickler on the same night? Lil was sent back to safety. Was it really necessary for Ryan to say he was going to send one person to safety then say “Anoop…stay where you are. Lil, head to the couches”? Mean and as unnecessary as this hour long show!
Only 30,000 votes separated Scott and Anoop. Scott was told he was on the bottom. Ah, that is too bad. I didn’t get to vote for him last night, but I doubt I could have voted 30,001 times in two hours anyhow.
I knew a while back that Scott’s type of music – the laid back Billy Joel/Bruce Hornsby style – just wasn’t for this show. I knew the judges weren’t going to save him, but the vote was split 2-2. They have to save that vote for Adam, in case millions of teenage girls across America break both arms and cannot call in votes for him.
