America’s Got Talent – Dallas Auditions

America’s Got Talent – well, at least some Americans do.  The Dallas auditions were typical – some good and some bad.  I cringed when the Dutton family came on stage.  I remember Piers not liking children in the acts from last year.  And he told the family to leave the kids at home – just like last year.  Meghan, the little ventriloquist was good, but her act was a bit hokey.  She made it through to Vegas though.  Erica, the little Bianca wannabe, was slammed by Piers – he just took on everyone during the premiere.  He even made Sharon Osbourne (replacing Brandy this year as a judge) mad enough that she left after he questioned 9 year old Breeze on whether she wanted to compete or her mother wanted her to.  Frankly, it all looked a bit contrived to me.  That stuff is boring – stick with the crummy, weird talent!

An Elvis impersonator was Xed out before he even got to sing  (but then Jerry Springer insisted he get a chance and after he sang one line, he was Xed again).  Mr. Bill was sent packing (a singing bus driver who Piers said would win if they were going on personality) and the Human Slinky was eliminated (I thought that was pretty cool).

Couple Ari and Nicholas Marks auditioned as a couple last year.  Both were turned down.  This year, they decided to each go solo.  Ari was refused, but Piers said Nicholas’ guitar playing had actually gotten better since last year, so he gets to go to Vegas.

Who was the best last night?  The crowd loved the singing group Southern Girl, girl singer Fallon, boy band The Rascals, and Jordan and Nasko (the father and son acrobats), but the crowd favorite seemed to be Mr. Big “Who’s the Guy” Beal.  This kid looked like Buddy Holly, danced like Michael Jackson, and played the sax like it was nobody’s business.  Like Sharon said “you owned the stage.”  He really ended the show on a high note and honestly, he is the only one I looking forward to seeing again in Vegas.

I loved Mr. Big! Where did he go though? We never heard another word about him… I hope he makes it “Big” despite getting sent home (I can’t believe they sent him home–stupid, stupid)

Mr. Big “Who’s The Guy” Beal

This season is a big joke, not talent, and the judges have no clue. What ever happen to “Mr. Big “Who’s The Guy” Beal”. (Andrew Beal) How come he didn’t make the top twenty. The judges fell short on that one. Asleep at the wheel again. They let through the blonde female impersonator and the male dancer. What a joke. The sad part is we didn’t get to see Mr Big’s last cut performance
