Angela is kicked off Project Runway
The remaining seven designers were given the challenge to create an outfit for an international jet setter. The twist was that the person they would be designing for was not some Paris Hilton type, it was themselves. Each designer had to think about where they would go if given the opportunity to create an outfit for themselves. The designers were judged initially in New York City and then flown to Paris, where a guest judge (some famous designer whose name I missed) judged them on how well the outfit traveled.
For the first time this season there were only two really bad outfits in my opinion, but two outfits were really kind of safe and boring. The winner came down to Michael and Jeffrey. Both designers gave themselves a musician kind of story with Michael as a hip hop star and Jeffrey as a rock star. In the end the judges picked Jeffrey as the winner. Michael’s outfit, while not my style, was pretty cool. Jeffrey’s was ok, but I thought his pants were a wee bit tight. No need to see the family jewels, thank you very much.
Tonight was interesting as we got to see Jeffrey and Angela go at each other. Like Kayne said it was fun to watch them fight. I wonder if the needling of Angela was natural on Jeffrey’s part or a cold and calculated move. Either way it worked. Angela was not on the top of her game when she designed her farm girl jet setting outfit.
You kind of knew it was a matter of time until Angela got kicked off the show. She lives on a farm in Ohio. I’ve been to Ohio and it certainly isn’t a fashion forward kind of place. I don’t think she had the big city experience or mentality to win Project Runway. Tim Gunn is way too nice of a person to Auf someone from the show. You just want to take this man home and hug him.
It looks from the previews next week that the challenge is going to take place in Paris. This really should get interesting.
