Another AMC dropout on DWTS: Susan Lucci is gone
Following in the footsteps of Cameron Mathison, Susan Lucci was eliminated from DWTS this week. This was not a surprise; she makes a lovely appearance, but even Tony Dovolani can’t make a dancer out of a stick (eg. Leeza, Jane etc.) When it got to the final two, I was wavering between Susan and Cody, and I actually thought Cody would be the one eliminated for two reasons: 1. I voted for him and 2. his fan base has an early bed time.
The judges request this week was the group paso doble, and it was a pleasure to see it again. The camera work was a little off; maybe there’s a new camera person. Entertaining us with a selection from his new album was Lionel Ritchie – who listens to him when they can watch Alec and Edyta dance. Alone they are wonderful dancers, together they are magnificent. For his next number we had Cheryl, Tony, Kym and what have they done to Maks!!!! He must have lost a bet to get that hair shaved off! Hair or not, what a pleasure it is to be entertained by those pros.
From the sublime to the ridiculous; who brought those herky jerky dancers on? What ever happened to smooth? Dave Scott might be a fine choreographer, but hip hop? Is this the new trend? Kenny Maine, go back to ESPN and take Jerry Rice with you.
Two new dances next week – well at least the ones left are pretty good.

There’s a poll on the DWTS LiveJournal about why Susan Lucci was eliminated: http://dancingstarsabc.livejournal.com/
