ANT
Anthony Steven Kalloniatis, better known as ANT (he prefers that his name be spelled in all caps), is a stand up comedian, actor, and television personality. He hails from Londonderry, New Hampshire and he was born in August of 1968.
From 1995 until 1999, ANT was a semi regular cast mate on the WB series “Unhappily Ever After.” He also appeared on “Sweet Valley High,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Son of the Beach,” and “The Man Show.” But it was not until 2004 that ANT gained national attention when he appeared on the NBC show “Last Comic Standing.” He would go on to appear as a contestant in two more seasons of the show. 2004 also saw him release a comedy album titled Follow My Ass. In 2005, “ANT: America’s Ready” was released on DVD. He began his first of three appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in 2004 as well. He has appeared five times on “The Howard Stern Show.”
His “Last Comic Standing” success made ANT a hot commodity and he was soon named to host the VH1 reality series “Celebrity Fit Club,” which just completed its fifth season. He has his own series, “U.S. of ANT,” which appears on the Logo cable channel. Because of his cutting sense of humor, he is often featured as a commentator on such VH1 shows as “Best Week Ever,” “VH1 All Access,” “But Can They Sing?” and “Super Secret TV Formulas” and TV Land’s “The 100 Most Memorable TV Moments.” He also had a part in the 1999 movie Twin Fall Idaho and 2001’s Circuit.
This year, ANT is a judge for “Last Comic Standing” along with former contestants Alonzo Bodden and Kathleen Madigan. So far, ANT has proved to be a tough judge, making fellow VH1 personality Doug Benson audition twice before moving him on the to the next round.
