Antonio Sabato, Jr wins Season 1 of Celebrity Circus
After 3 months of grueling competition Antonio Sabato Jr has won the “Wheel of Death” trophy from Celebrity Circus. Although I am not shocked that he won, I do think he worked very hard for this show. I was really wondering how they were going to use a whole hour to build up to the announcement of the winner. My feelings were a little mixed but I thought they made a good use of the time by bringing back the previous contestants and mixing in performances from the actual trainers.
Tonight we got to see the return of our previous contestants. Blue Cantrell opened up this evening with a singing performance. Janet Evans and Rachel Hunter each performed an act this evening for us. Chris Knight was even back this evening to offer some of his reactions to being on the show but was unable to perform due to his broken arm. We also got to see Aurelia Cats perform on the trapeze. In my mind, she left no doubt that she was speaking from experience when judging our stars.
I was kind of shocked to see Wee Man not make it to the final two on the show. I am not saying that he was the best performer but I thought his fan base would carry him to the end. This show has given me a great feeling of respect for those involved in the circus and what it takes to be a performer and that seemed to be the consensus of all of the contestants on the show. Would I like to see a Season 2 of Celebrity Circus? Yes.
