Antonio Sabato, Jr.

Antonio Sabato, Jr. is one of the stars of the new NBC reality show Celebrity Circus. However, Antonio is no stranger to television. Voted on of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People,” Antonio has been appearing in television and movies since 1992.

Antonio was born in Rome, Italy on February 29, 1972. His family moved to the United States when he was 12 where he attended both St. Bernard High School and Beverly Hills High School. He dropped out, but eventually earned his G.E.D in 1989. He started his career as Calvin Klein underwear model, appearing in the middle of Times Square on a 90 foot billboard. However, it was his appearance in the Janet Jackson video “Love Will Never Do (Without You)” that really caused Hollywood to take notice. In 1992, he began appearing on “General Hospital” as Jagger Cates, a role he would continue until 1995. He appeared in 21 episodes of the science fiction show “Earth 2″ as Alonzo Solace. He also made a seven-episode appearance in the nighttime soap Melrose Place.

After appearing in a few made for television movies (Her Hidden Truth, If Looks Could Kill, Thrill, Code Name: Wolverine, and The Perfect Getaway), Antonio landed a role in The Big Hit alongside another former Calvin Klein underwear model who became an actor, Mark Wahlberg.

Since then, Antonio has made more films (Longshot, The Chaos Factor, Mindstorm, Shark Hunter, and Testosterone), made guest appearances in television shows (”Ally McBeal,” “Charmed,” “Becker,” and “Joey”), appeared in a television miniseries (Tribe), and starred in more made for television movies (Guilty as Charged, Final Ascent, See Jane Date, and Deadly Skies). In 2005, Antonio appeared in 148 episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Dante Damiano. He even appeared in another reality show, 2005’s “But Can They Sing?”

In addition to acting and modeling, Antonio has written a best selling workout book titled “No Excuses: Workout for Life.” Antonio also enjoys auto racing and is a collector of “Batman” memorabilia (including a custom-made Batman motorbike). He even named his production company NAMTAB (Batman spelled backwards). He is the celebrity spokesperson for the SAP United States Grand Prix Formula One race.

He was married to Alicia Tully Jensen in 1992, but the two divorced the next year. He has two children – son Jack Antonio, age 13 (with actress Virginia Madsen) and daughter Mina Bree, age 5 (with longtime girlfriend Kristin Rossetti). In November 1996, Antonio became a naturalized citizen.

Has anyone been watching Celebrity Circus? I heard he’s dating his costar on the show Blu Cantrell. That’s kinda sweet, I wish them the best!
