Ashlee is the winner of season 4 of I Wanna Be A Soap Star
I finally got the chance to sit down and watch the season finale of I Wanna Be A Soap Star. OK, honestly I forgot I had the show on TiVo until my husband asked me who won the show. When the show aired at a different time it kind of fell off my radar, and to be honest I most likely fell asleep before 11 pm even came. By the way, Ashlee was named the winner of Soap Star season 4.
So why was the show so late – in two words Cameron Mathison. Cameron had to be on the live season finale of Dancing With The Stars at 9 pm that night so there was no way the show could air at 8 pm and have Cameron make it to be on DWTS in time. Especially since he danced the encore that night. Can you say cross promotion ABC? ABC airs DWTS and Disney owns both ABC and Soap Net.
I thought overall the show was a waste of time. We saw a lot of recaps about the season. We did not hear one word from the other eight finalists, and it would have been nice to hear their opinion on who deserved to win. The judges did a lot of kissy kissy with Ashlee and Jimena saying that either one of them could be on a soap opera.
Initially Ashlee was told that she would be starting her 13 week contract role almost right away, but I read on the internet that her start date has been pushed back to November so she could be written into a new storyline.

A lot of people missed the last episode of “I Wanna Be A Soap Star” because of the time change. I missed it because my father died. I think it should be repeated on Soap Net the following week. Can you please relay this message to the people that make this decision. I watched all the episodes and a piece is missing not seeing the last episode. It ruins the whole thing. Please relay…….

Ashlee was great on days. I’m so glad she won! I just wish the show would have kept her on longer
