Big Brother 11: Welcome to the House
“Big Brother 11” decided to take the houseguests back to high school. This season, the surprise twist is that the house would be divided into cliques – the athletes, the populars, the brains, and the offbeats. The three Athletes were Natalie (who told everyone she was 18, even though she is 24 and failed to mention she won a bronze medal for Tae Kwon Do in the Junior Olympics), Jeff (a Chicagoan who played high school football), and Russell (who is in commercial real estate and is also a professional mixed martial arts fighter). The Brains were Michele (a scientist who failed to tell everyone she has a Ph.D.), Ronnie (a gaming geek), and Chima (who took all AP classes and is a freelance journalist). The Populars were Laura (who was dubbed “Boobs City” by Kevin), Jordan (a Southern girl who cannot get a booger (have sex) on the show), and Braden (a surfer dude). The Offbeats were Lydia (a bisexual effects makeup artist), Casey (a 5th grade teacher who DJs at night), and Kevin (a gay graphics designer).
The first challenge was the Wedgie challenge. The houseguests had to hold on to a toilet seat while suspended in the air by a huge pair of underpants. Whoever lasted the longest won, but they didn’t win HOH. No, Julie had another twist for the houseguests. There were four former Big Brother contestants – one for each category. Whoever won would help bring the former houseguest back into the house and he or she would be HOH. And, the rules are that the person who wins HOH keeps his clique safe from elimination that week.
The four former houseguests were Cowboy from BB5 (representing the Offbeats), Jessica from BB8 (representing the Populars), Brian from BB10 (representing the Brains), and Jessie from BB10 (representing the Athletes). The Brains were in trouble quickly with Michele and Ronnie being the first two houseguests to drop. The four former houseguests picked cliques to receive super wedgies (in which they bounced) for 30 seconds. Casey, the last Offbeat, dropped as did Chima leaving Laura and Braden for the Populars and Russell and Natalie for the Athletes. But, Laura dropped and Braden quickly followed, so Jessie is now back in the house. Everyone is planning on making buddies with the Athletes now.
