Big Brother 8: A Recap
I really don’t know what CBS was thinking having a whole episode that was pretty much just a recap of the season. Other than learning Dick wanted to visit Scandinavia and take an African tour, we really didn’t learn much. Oh, that is not true – we learned moving to Kansas is about the last thing New Yorker Eric wants to do.
I mean seriously, did CBS think someone would miss the whole season, but accidentally watch the recap tonight, so they would just have to tune in Tuesday to see the finale? It seemed to me that most of the stuff they showed – Dick and Jameka arguing, Amber’s meltdown when she was mad at Eric, Zach streaking, Eric wearing the dress, Jen getting dumped with iced tea and burned with a cigarette by Dick, Daniele and Nick kissing – didn’t really happen all that long ago. At least not to me.
We did get a nice review of Dick and Daniele’s “$%^& up relationship” as he put it. I guess maybe CBS wanted to create that warm fuzzy “look how we helped bring this family together” moment, but it really didn’t do it for me. I really almost wish everyone would vote for Dick to win. Daniele is just grating on my nerves ever time I see her, just like Amber did a while back.
