Big Brother 9: A Surprise Nomination
Now that Jen is gone, Allison is hoping her relationship with Ryan will “grow.” Alex is still not happy with Amanda, blaming her for putting a target on their back. At least Amanda worked things out with Joshuah, calling him aside to talk to him about their showdown. She made a secret alliance with him to go to the final three, but I couldn’t tell from the look on his face if he was really on board or not.
It was funny to see the house drinking out of bowls because they had their cups taken away in the last challenge. More bad news for Adam, Sheila and Alex, Amanda – they are on slop for a week after losing the food competition. Divers had to throw dead fish into nets being held by members of the other team and who ever dropped all their nets first would enjoy slop for the week. It came down to Joshuah and Adam holding nets. Joshuah, who appeared to have about eight fish in his net, was struggling. However, Adam’s net was almost full and he dropped first. Chelsia and James were on the losing team, but being HOH, they get food privileges.
Amanda annoyed everyone with her “bueno” catchphrase. Is she dumb enough to really think it means “hello?” James and Chelsia assured Matt and Natalie that they were safe and the four made a pact to not nominate each other. James created Operation Condor, in which he was gunning to get rid of Amanda and Alex (from the top shelf of photos). Adam and Ryan agreed to join him in his quest, but both hesitated to play the position of pawn. James and Natalie got closer in the HOH bed – they kissed each other, but did you notice Natalie look right at the camera afterwards? That made it seem contrived.
Allison, always one to stir stuff up, told Sheila she thought they should come clean to Allison about their “love affair.” Sheila didn’t want to, but Allison insisted. When they told Chelsia, James, and eventually Joshuah, all felt betrayed. Joshuah even wonder aloud if he was gay – now that was funny!
In the end, James and Chelsia put up Alex and Amanda (big surprise – not!) and Matt and Natalie. He said he was sure Matt and Natalie were such a strong team that they would win POV and save themselves. Natalie took it as an offhanded compliment, but Matt is angry – he said James double-crossed him and he is going to go for James and Chelsia if he survives the week.
