Big Brother 9: Matt is Evicted; Adam Wins HOH
Earlier this week on Big Brother, James went back on his word of not putting Natalie or Matt up. After initially saving the two, he decided to save Sheila with his POV win and nominated Matt. He did this after realizing that Matt was the third vote for the mystery guest. As Natalie tried to console Matt, he kept pushing her away, saying he wanted to be alone.
He continued to mope around the house, saying there was no hope until Adam kickstarted him by telling him to fight to stay. BTW, I just realized tonight that at times, Adam has that scary Gary Busey look. Anyhow, Matt started pointing out Ryan was the one who had put people up on the block and took away Sheila’s $10,000. He moaned that he didn’t want to spend his birthday in the sequester house alone. He managed to change Sheila’s mind and with her vote, Adam’s and Natalie, that put it at a tie.
In the case of a time, James, the HOH, got to make the decision. He decided Matt needed to go. I was pretty sure Natalie was going to cling to his leg as he left, but she handled it well (for her anyhow). Matt told Julie he was devastated. When asked about Natalie, he said they are good friends, but there was no relationship. However, in her goodbye message, Natalie said she still wasn’t convinced he wasn’t her soulmate.
We got to see Dick and Daniele from last season. Dick will be back next week to give the houseguests a wake up call. He used his money from his win last season to take Daniele to Europe and buy her a car. And no, she is not dating Nick anymore.
At the HOH competition, the houseguests had to guess which evicted houseguest had made a statement in the diary room. It came down to Chelsia and Adam, with Adam winning. Adam has been skillfully playing both sides, sorta laying low, so it should be interested to see what happens this week with his as HOH.
