Big Brother 9: The House Blows Up
In this episode, we learned Amanda’s father killed himself and she kinda blames herself. His last call to her was one where he left a voice mail message saying he could never get her when he needed her. But, because of his death, she tries to always be upbeat and cheery. We also found out Adam was called the “hooded warrior” because he is uncircumcised. Jen had never seen an uncircumcised man and asked to see, so Adam gave her a peek. Ew.
However, the big issue in this episode was the Jen and Ryan relationship. Jen made a cocky comment about her picture being first because she was going to win. That ticked off Parker and Allison both, thinking the comment would make them all targets. Allison threatened to spill their little secret to the house and told Ryan she was not comfortable in this situation. He promised her that he would not put Jen before her.
But, Parker finally decides it would be best if he and Jen told everyone before Allison did. They tell Matt and Alex, who both feel betrayed. Eventually everyone learns and they were all pretty ticked off. Amanda and Alex call a meeting and have everyone else swear on a Bible that they don’t know anyone in the house. But like Matt said, half the people are not religious, so it was kind of stupid. Matt and Natalie and Alex and Amanda make a pact to go to the end together. Allison and Sheila find misery truly does love company and decides to tell the house that they too hold a secret – they are lesbian lovers. Joshuah freaks out and tells Neil. They even added a nice touch to the story, telling Chelsia that they have a son.
Shelia was out in the courtyard complaining to Parker about Adam when Alex pointed out that Adam was not going around badmouthing her. Adam eventually made his way over to the conversation and called her “rude and inconsiderate.” She left crying, but not before cursing him. That lead Alex to say those two needed to go, but at the nomination ceremony, they decided to nominate Parker and Jen and Ryan and Allison because they felt it was necessary to break up that little relationship.
