Bigger Loser Couples: Maggie and Brittany Leave
But not together. Maggie was voted out as a part of last week’s results. Dan used both of his votes to oust her.
The remaining seven got makeovers from Macys and Project Runway’s Tim Gunn. I love Tim – he is so cool! The contestants got a new look to pose for Prevention magazine. Ali let them cut her hair shoulder length, Roger was actually able to pull a suit jacket off the rack that fit, Dan got his rock-n-roll hair cut short, Jay got a leather jacket for the first time in his life, Mark got a suit jacket with piping, and Brittany wore a purple dress with the neckline to her waist. But to me, the big transformation was Kelly – it didn’t even look like her! She got highlights and her hair cut and just looked amazing. And of course, everyone had someone special in their lives there to see them all dressed up.
The challenge was to walk backwards on treadmills suspended above the pool. The prize was a weeklong trip to a health spa. Brittany felt sure she would win, but she didn’t. It came down to Ali and Mark, with Mark finally winning after walking for a hour and five minutes. Then Mark apologized for being so competitive. That set Roger off, saying Mark was different since his return. Those two exchanged words, but I am sure they are still buddies.
At the weigh-in, Dan (8) and Roger (9) pulled big numbers. Mark (3) and Jay (3) didn’t do so well. Kelly dropped below 200 with a 3-pound loss. Although Jillian added sodium to Brittany’s diet to try to kick-start her loss, she still only lost 2 pounds. It was she and Jay below the yellow line. Brittany talked to Dan, trying to plant the seed in his head that she was the lesser threat, but you know Dan wasn’t going to turn on his buds and Brittany was sent home. I am glad to see her go. All she has done is talk about how hard she’s worked, but most of the people sent home have gone on to lose more than she has all this time at the ranch. Even Ali voted for Brittany – ouch, that had to hurt!
