Biggest Loser: Allen Goes Home
It was the last week on the “Biggest Loser” campus and it would be heartbreak for one contestant as he or she would be out of the final four. The contestants each won $4,000 (sans Amanda who only won $3,000) for answering questions after talking to financial expert Suze Orman.
Their second challenge was the dreaded “carry your own weight.” While on a football field, contestants had to carry the weight they had lost week by week while pulling a barrel full of the remaining weight until it was all gone. Thankfully, NFL great Ron Woodson was there to encourage them. I was glad to see Allen finally win a challenge. For his win, he gets to go see the NFL Pro Bowl and saw $5,000 donated to his daughter’s school for sports equipment.
At the weigh-in, Danny continued to surprise everyone by losing 16 pounds. That won his a home visit from Chef Curtis Stone, who would show Danny and his family how to cook up nutritious meals. Rudy came in slightly behind Danny, losing 12 pounds. Amanda kept herself safe from elimination by losing seven pounds. That left Liz, with her five pound weight loss, and Allen, with his eight pound weight loss, below the yellow line.
Amanda was the swing vote and while Allen pleaded with her to stay, she said she had formed a friendship with Liz and sent Allen home. He came to the ranch weighing 325, left at 230 and was down another 10 to 220.
