Biggest Loser Couples: Amanda and Neill are Eliminated
Dan and Jackie got a prize for being the team of the week. They had to hike the big hill to choose an envelope that said Luxury, Family, or Gameplay. Jackie chose gameplay, which gave them two votes at this week’s elimination ceremony. Unfortunately for them, it was a waste because their one vote was the one that send Amanda and Neill home.
Again, people were tired of seeing Neill slack. He added 5 minutes to the workout by touching the treadmill after Jillian repeatedly told him not to. Amanda told him he should lay low, that she felt they weren’t well liked.
The reward challenge was for one member to go through a mud puddle, retrieve a medicine ball, and put it in another team’s table slot. The other team member would direct where to place the ball. When a team’s table slots were filled, they were eliminated, so this pitted teams against teams. Black, pink, and gray quickly aligned as did orange and blue. Jackie yelled at Jay when he told her to play her own game, then Mark yelled at Jay when he told Bernie to finish their team off by putting his ball in their last slot. Everyone else was angry with Mark for treating his brother that way but the two of them seemed to be fine with it. He did try to apologize to the group later although he hated doing it. In the end, it was the gray team of Trent and Roger that won. Their prize was much coveted immunity.
Jillian tried to repair Ali and Bette-Sue’s relationship. Bette-Sue divorced when Ali was young and apparently ran around with “loser” boyfriends. Ali felt like she had always been alone. The two seemed to be on the road to patching things up after the talk.
At the weigh-in, Jackie and Dan continued to put up big numbers (7 and 12 respectively), but couldn’t hold onto their winning team streak. That went to Kelly and Paul, who lost a combined total of 23 pounds. They barely beat out Brittany and Bernie for the team of the week honors. It was Amanda and Neill and Maggie and Jenn that fell blow the yellow line.
Amanda pleaded the white team’s case, with Neill only chiming in a small bit. Like Bernie said, they were waiting for him to say he was going to straighten up and really wanted to be there. All four team votes were for Amanda and Neill, although everyone mentioned that Amanda really seemed to be trying. After they went home, Neill lost another 23 pounds and Amanda lost another 24 pounds.
