Biggest Loser Couples: Aubrey is Eliminated
This week, the Biggest Losers were back to their original colors – no more teams. Everyone was playing only for themselves now. They also got to choose their trainers. It split one of the teams – Mike flipped a coin and chose Jillian, but his dad Ron stuck with Bob. Tara, Laura, and Helen also chose Jillian while Sione, Filipe, Aubrey, Ron, and Kristin went with Bob.
The challenge was divided into two parts. In the first part, each contestant had colored bricks that represented the weight they had lost. They had to place the weight on another contestant’s scale. Everyone picked on Tara and Helen. Tara ended up with the most weight – 257 pounds – while Helen had 215. Tara took it personally and wouldn’t talk to anyone. Laura finally cornered her and she said she was going to throw the weigh-in and go home. She changed her mind though. The second part of the challenge was to pull a NASCAR with that additional weight. Although Sione and Mike started out strong, Tara surpassed both of them for the win. She won immunity plus a VIP trip to a NASCAR event.
At the weigh-in, there was a history making moment. Tara was only four pounds from being the first women to break 100 pounds on the show, but she fell one pound short. However, Kristin needed 3 pounds and lost 8, so she broke Ali and Tara’s record of 99 pounds lost on campus. Ron pulled in a big loss with 10 pounds, but he couldn’t enjoy it because he was hoping for less than 6 to go under the yellow line and save Mike. As it turned out, Filipe “saved” him by losing only 4 pounds, so it was he and Aubrey under the yellow line.
There were a few votes for Filipe, but I knew when I saw Sione sitting at the end of the table, the show was not going to let it come down to a tie with Sione breaking it. Duh, he’s not going to vote for his cousin! So, it was Aubrey who was sent home. She fell into the old pattern of putting everyone else in front of herself and gained back 9 pounds. But, she finally made time for the gym and had lost a total of 10 pounds since going home.
