Biggest Loser Couples: Big Changes
I guess this week’s episode of “Biggest Loser Couples” was split up into two nights because of President Obama’s speech tonight. There was no weigh-in (that will come tomorrow), but there were big changes!
Ally told the teams there was a pop challenge. One person from each team had to do 100 ups & downs – in the mud. The winner got to keep the trainer for their team. The loser got split up from his or her partner. Those in between would have their fate chosen by a coin toss. Sione really wanted to win because he and Filipe wanted to keep Bob, but he lost by just one, with Tara barely beating him out. Helen and Kristin fought it out to keep from being last, with Kristin just barely beating Helen by one.
Laura and Tara joined the black team as did Helen (although she was not happy). Sione and Filipe had a 50/50 chance, but the coin came up black, so they are on Jillian’s team now. Mandi and Aubrey got blue (they weren’t happy) as did Dane. Ron and Mike got split up with Ron telling Mike he had a better chance on the Black Team, so he went there and Ron stuck with Bob on the Blue Team. Kristin and Cathy were the last two and there were two spots on Bob’s team, which they were happy about.
The challenge was brutal – 24 hours of biking in the gym. Whichever team banked the most miles got a 3 pound advantage at the next weigh-in and each team member would get a new bike. The Black Team decided to do it in 30 minute intervals while the Blue Team decided to do it in hour intervals. The Blue Team got tired and with 9 hours to go, wanted to call a truce to get some rest. Sione spoke up and said he respected anyone else’s decision, but stopping would be like quitting. That made everyone decided to finish it out. The Blue Team did 264 miles, but the Black Team went 301, with Tara doing the most at almost 59 miles.
