Biggest Loser Couples: Dane is Eliminated
The second half of “Biggest Loser Couples” this week really disappointed me – well, at least the results. The teams had a pop quiz, sponsored by Prevention magazine, and the winners each got 2 tickets to a fountain of youth vacation package. The Black Team won, then took down the weigh-in.
The Blue Team lost a lot of weight – 54 pounds, with Dane losing 13, Kristin losing 10, and Cathy losing 14, which gave her immunity. Dane set a BL record by losing 100 pounds in 8 weeks. EIGHT WEEKS PEOPLE! But, the Black Team put up big numbers too with Tara losing 11 pounds, Filipe losing 10 and Sione losing 10.
Deciding who should go, it seemed a bit to me like Ron threw Dane under the bus. He used the excuse that Dane had support at home, but I think Ron felt Dane was a threat, and rightfully so. In return, Dane said the Mike just couldn’t do the challenges, so he should go home. That is true as well. In the end, there was one vote for Kristin, two for Ron, and three for Dane. He went home and ran a 26 mile marathon with his wife, but we didn’t learn how much more weight he lost. I guess it is too close to the end of the show.

Dane and his wife cheated on the marahon. They were given a ride!
I’m pissed that the producers of the show decided to blatantly lie!!!!!!!
The net is already filled with blogs from eye witnesses that watched them cheat. I run marathons, and I immediatly knew that there is no way that he ran it in 3:53…..no chance..
Dispicable!

I guess Kristin and Kathy don’t realize that by sending Dane home, they’ve pretty much insured that the blue team will be sending someone home next week, too. Without Dane, they’re not going to be able to put up the numbers they’ll need to beat the four horses on the black team – Ron just can’t compete. It’s down to game-play – and while it’s soooo refreshing to see team members who love and support each other (after Heba and Vicki!!), the contestants need to realize that they have to put themselves first now. It was interesting to see that the vote went along “old team” lines. I’m not eager to see what Bob’s reaction is…
